Terms of Service

Effective October 16, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and 10kGenie LLC, a California limited liability company ("10KGenie", "we", "us"). They cover your use of 10kgenie.com. If you do not agree, do not use 10KGenie.

1. What 10KGenie Is

10KGenie shows financial data about US public companies. Most of the data comes from filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Price data comes from licensed market data providers.

2. Not Investment Advice

10KGenie is an information service. We are not a broker-dealer, an investment adviser or a financial planner. Nothing on 10KGenie is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. You alone are responsible for your investment decisions. Talk to a licensed professional before you act on any information.

3. Accuracy of the Data

We take the data from public filings and from providers, and we process it automatically. Filings can contain errors, companies restate figures, and our processing can make mistakes. The data can be late, incomplete or wrong. Always check important figures against the source filing. Each figure links to its source where we can.

4. Who Can Use 10KGenie

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You can use the public pages without an account.

5. Your Account

You sign in with a link sent to your email address. If we add other sign-in methods, such as Google, the same rules apply. Keep access to your email account safe, because anyone who controls it can sign in as you. One account is for one person. Do not share your account. Tell us at support@10kgenie.com if you think someone else used your account.

You can delete your account at any time on the Account Settings page. Deletion removes your watchlists, portfolios, notes and settings.

6. Price

Every feature of 10KGenie is free for now. We do not ask for a payment card and we do not charge you. If we offer a paid plan later, we will publish its terms first, and nothing is charged without your agreement at checkout.

7. Acceptable Use

You may use 10KGenie only for your own personal research. You must not:

  1. Copy, scrape or download the site's data in bulk with automated tools, except through features we provide for that, such as CSV export.
  2. Resell, republish or redistribute our data or pages, or build a competing data service from them.
  3. Redistribute price data in any form. Our price providers do not allow it. Exports contain no market price data. They contain SEC data, your own inputs and published rates such as the 10-year Treasury yield.
  4. Try to get around the rate limits or security of the site.
  5. Reverse-engineer or rebuild the underlying market data from our charts, tables or calculations.
  6. Disrupt the site, or use it to break any law.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

7a. Data Sources

SEC data comes from public filings on EDGAR. Market Data from Tiingo.com.

8. Your Content

Your watchlists, portfolios, notes and thesis rules are yours. We store them only to provide the service to you. We do not publish them or sell them.

9. Our Content

The site design, software, layouts and our own calculations belong to 10KGenie or our licensors. SEC filings are public. These Terms do not give you any right to our trademarks.

10. Changes to the Service

We can add, change or remove features.

11. Disclaimers

10KGenie is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and uninterrupted availability.

12. Limit of Liability

To the extent the law allows, 10KGenie is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any trading or investment loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50.

13. Governing Law

The laws of the State of California govern these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in California. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights that the law of your home country or state gives you and that a contract cannot remove.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may change these Terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. For a material change, we will email account holders at least 14 days before it applies. If you keep using 10KGenie after that, the new Terms apply.
